Grow on the terrace

Many people want a small garden, or simply an oasis of plants, but not all of them have a garden or the necessary space. Therefore, it is not right to give up your desire, but to organize the space available and step by step to build your own garden.

Here therefore it seems necessary to organize, so that balconies, window sills, terraces, become perfect places to plant and at the same time to make plants live in harmony and according to needs.

What to grow

The choice is certainly not random, obviously limits of space, time to devote, exposure to the sun, temperature, are decisive in the decision, since for example if we have a space that is not too sunny we will have to choose cut lettuces or aromatic herbs, which they survive even with little sun. Roughly it is good to choose a type of short cycle plant, therefore its collection takes place after 30/60 days, since otherwise, you need a garden. You can also grow vegetables such as carrots, radishes, but in that case you will have to be very careful with the cultivation and type of the chosen pots.

It is good to choose a place where there is sun for at least 4/6 hours a day, the pots must be large and deep, have holes in the bottom so as to allow perspiration and draining effect.

For growing on the terrace it is good to choose grafted plants, as they are much richer and more productive than other plants. Among the favorite vegetables we have courgettes, lettuces, basil and the like, carrots, strawberries, peppers, chillies, aubergines, chard and celery.
