Christmas floral arrangements
The shops of our cities, during the Christmas period, strive to create an unforgettable atmosphere: there is never a shortage of lights, songs and themed decorations. To fully experience the magic, we must bring this climate into our home too. We can focus on classic decorations (balls, garlands, knickknacks), but compositions of fresh or dried flowers cannot be missing. They are ideal as a focal point in the living room, as a centerpiece in the kitchen or on the front door, in the form of a garland. The basic elements are readily available on the market, but, if desired, we can also draw on the resources of our garden.
Living room mini-tree
Here is an economic and simple realization idea, perfect for those who do not have the space for a good-sized tree. We must get a small fir, hanging ivy and a red-flowered kalanchoe (or, alternatively, a skimmia with berries), as well as a wicker basket. We place the conifer and the flowering plant on the bottom of the composition and fill the front with ivy. We block with some mold pressing it well. Finally we will go on to decorate the tree with balls, garlands and other objects, possibly in scarlet tones. To complete it all we can cover the basket with a jute cloth and close it with a nice golden bow! Alternatively, before starting the set up, it can be colored with a silver or golden spray paint.
