Plants and furniture
Inserting natural elements into the furniture, such as plants and flowers, is useful for bringing serenity and peace within the home. In fact, it has been shown that these, in addition to giving beauty to the home, contribute to raising the emotional tone of the people who live there. Plants therefore represent a way to improve the world in which we live, starting right from the environments in which we spend most of our time, such as the home and the office.
Not everyone has an outdoor green area, where they can spend some time in the company of nature. Yet being in contact with tree species, caring for them, learning about them and seeing them grow, is a beneficial activity that helps balance emotional tensions and inner energy, giving new strength and new enthusiasm.
The absence of a balcony or terrace is not a problem, as there are many types of plants that adapt perfectly to the closed environment of a building.
Furnishing the house with plants thus becomes not only a way to make the environment more beautiful, more hospitable and colorful, but also an activity to take care of yourself.
Furnish the rooms
The first room you meet upon entering a house is the entrance. This is generally not very bulky and therefore it is not easy to find the ideal solution for plants and furnishings. However, it should not be overlooked because a plant of the right size in this space is the best welcome, both for you and the guest. The antechamber is usually poorly lit, a bit dark, so you have to opt for a plant that does not require a lot of light to live, but that also knows how to adapt to situations of low solar radiation.
Similarly, if you live in a condominium, the landing, the stairs and the entrance hall can also be adorned with flowering varieties. In this case it is advisable to obtain strong varieties that can withstand the scarcity of light, cold temperatures and drafts.
In general, to maintain the good health of the plant, these are the parameters to consider: light, temperature and drafts.
A nurseryman faces these problems on a daily basis and therefore he will certainly offer good advice. Little or not expert people can safely rely on these professionals and certainly will not go wrong.
In small rooms, small, space-saving typologies are placed, while in large spaces you can also indulge yourself with more voluminous and showy plants.
Plants can be used as a room divider, for example in a living room. In this case it is advisable to keep them in a single vase.
Usually, to furnish the interiors, it is preferred to focus on varieties that do not bloom very much. The flowers, beautiful, colorful and fragrant, however, need daily care and are very sensitive to climate change, they also last a short time and must be replaced. Plants like geraniums are good for outdoors, but are not suitable for indoors, also because they attract numerous insects.
The plants most requested by nurserymen and most used are Aglaonema pictum, a sober and classic corner plant that reaches one and a half meters in height, characterized by beautiful dark green leaves finely veined with a lighter green, and the Aspidistra elatior or other species, plant similar to aglaonema, with lighter, equally pointed leaves, slightly more jaunty.
The so-called "happiness log" is also excellent, usually defined as bamboo for the similarity of the twisted stem with that type of plant. In reality it is not a bamboo, even if it remembers it very much. This plant is very suitable for any type of furniture that is classic or modern, rural, office. It is also widely used in public places.
