Good morning, I would like to have, if possible, information on Alocasia, in particular where I can find it (I live in Parma), on the price (trunk with a circumference of 40 cm and height on 2 meters) and characteristics in general.
alocasia are usually readily available in bulb stores, as it is easier to find them in the form of a large dormant rhizome, rather than as an already developed plant. A good sized alocasia rhizome is sold for around 8-10 euros.
Being a plant that in adverse weather conditions tends to lose the aerial part, entering into complete vegetative rest, it is highly unlikely that you will find in an Italian nursery an alocasia of the dimensions you have described. The large rhizome is placed in a pot or in the ground, always considering that the plants do not survive at temperatures below 5 ° C, and that therefore they are grown inc asa, or in the garden only for the summer.
