Question: Pruning jasmine

Hi, I'm Gabriella, I wanted to know if it is possible to prune potted jasmines in this period as this summer they have produced many branches downwards, while I would like to grow them like espalier on the net I have on the terrace. I would then like to ask you another question about a hibiscus that I brought home this year with the first colds, hoping that it will grow more luxuriant this summer: should I continue to fertilize it? it is always full of insects almost like in summer I have to do the same treatments I use to do in hot weather (pesticides etc ...)

Thanks now for the reply

Jasmine pruning: Answer: Jasmine pruning

dear Gabriella,

as for the pruning of jasmine I advise you to wait for spring so as to prevent frost from damaging the cut branches. See the advice of the month of December regarding the work to be done in the garden.

As for your hibiscus plant, it is better to reduce fertilization to a minimum (once a month). As far as the use of pesticides is concerned, it can certainly provide treatments immediately.
